About Us
Guardian Behavioral Health was founded by Jeff and Melissa, a husband-and-wife team with a shared commitment to making mental health care feel accessible, practical, and grounded in real life. Together, they recognized a growing need in the community for in-person support, especially for adolescents, veterans, and families navigating complex life transitions.
Jeff brings over 20 years of service in the Air Force, offering a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by veterans and their families. Melissa brings 15 years of experience in education and student support, with a strong foundation in helping adolescents and families navigate emotional, behavioral, and academic stressors. Both Melissa and Jeff have worked in the school system providing counseling, crisis intervention, therapy, and special education support. They have both worked with adolecents and adults with a myriad of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, self-harm, suicidal ideation, neurodivergence, giftedness, ODD, ADD, and many others.
As a married couple, Jeff and Melissa are especially passionate about helping partners work through the everyday challenges of relationships, including blended family dynamics, communication breakdowns, and the ongoing stressors of modern life. They understand firsthand that relationships require intentional effort, flexibility, and support. They have personally navigated blended family dynamics, child loss, foster care, and raising adult children. These experiences shape a compassionate and grounded perspective, allowing them to meet clients with humility, authenticity, and an appreciation for the imperfect, often messy realities of life.
At Guardian Behavioral Health, the goal is simple: to be a trusted resource for individuals and families who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin. We strive to remove the intimidation often associated with seeking help by offering clear guidance, personalized care, and a steady presence through the process.
You don’t have to navigate it alone. We’re here to walk alongside you.
